Queen Jade Wins At Night Of Champions

There’s a new Queen in town and her name is Jade Cargill. At Saturday’s WWE Night of Champions event, Cargill defeated Asuka in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Cargill had won a Fatal Four Way against Michin, Piper Niven, and Nia Jax in round one, followed by defeating Roxanne Perez in the semi-finals.

Asuka was close to winning as she went to deliver her Empress Impact finisher, but Cargill countered it into Jaded giving her the victory.

Cargill becomes the third ever Queen of the Ring following Nia Jax and Zelina Vega. She is heading to SummerSlam to challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship. The title is currently held by Tiffany Stratton who successfully defended it in a Last Woman Standing match against Jax on Friday.

Rhea Ripley was successful at Saturday’s Night of Champions event against Raquel Rodriguez in a Street Fight. Both women were no strangers to high risk matches and have competed against each other in previous Last Woman Standing and No Holds Bared bouts. This time, Ripley had her hand raised as she delivered a Avalanche Riptide off of a table set up on the top ropes.

Roxanne Perez did show up in the match to try and help Rodriguez.
